NZSAP May 1996: Editorial Greetings! This issue of the NZSAP newsletter is the 7th under my stewardship. As usual when writing this piece it is now late after an afternoon trying to remember such details as: who was awarded the McMeekan Award at the conference this year (nobody was, hence the problem), and just what was discussed at the various AGM and management committee meetings. You would think that by now I would have a system. I do, but you could be excused from thinking otherwise if you saw the present state of my desk.

Judging from the number of new members at the back of this issue, the Society is enjoying an infusion of new blood. This is satisfying given our rather static membership over the last few years and I hope the trend continues. Thanks is extended to the "recruiting sargents" at Massey and Lincoln in particular.

The society is now on the WWW. This will raise novel issues in the future e.g. should all the conference abstracts, or perhaps the entire proceedings also be published on the Web?

Finally please check that your sub to NZSAP is current!! Payments are gratefully received by Wanda Watson our Executive Secretary. Wanda will be mailing invoices to the tardy and forgetful in the near future for unpaid 94, 95 and 96 subs.
