New Zealand Society of Animal Production

The Awards Committee (Steve Davis, Ken Jury, Alastair Nicol) were convened to consider the current structure of the Society's awards, the wording therein and any new Awards that could be put in place. The wording, and value of the McMeekan, Arthur Ward and Young Members' Awards were considered. Proposed amendments to these awards were relatively minor, largely removing ambiguities and clarifying eligibility criteria. These amendments will be discussed at the AGM.

Two new awards will be proposed at the AGM. An Innovative Award for the most innovative paper at the conference, and a President's Award - the latter concept to be propounded by Alastair Nicol.
