Post-partum anoestrus in beef cattle

The effects of suckling stimulus, level of nutrition, body
condition, breed and age of cow and calving difficulty on the
post-partum anoestrous interval are discussed. It is concluded that the
adoption of sound management policies will shorten the interval.
