Improving forage nutritive value: Some recent findings in forage
conservation research in Europe

Over the past decade there have been many new developments in
forage conservation research in Western Europe. These include improved
methods of harvesting and storage, improvements in nutritive value of
the conserved products, and the conservations of new crops. This paper
reviews these developments and discusses their relevance to New Zealand
conditions.
