Resources for young members in the New Zealand Society of Animal Production


NZSAP regularly grants student members and young scientists the Animal Science Award allowing them to attend international conferences and visit overseas research institutions. Follow the adventures of these young members in exotic locations including Roslin, Ithaca, Guelph & Tucson.

Young Member Benefits

standout 1. Reduced membership rates. Student members of the New Zealand Society of Animal Production receive 50% discount off the normal membership subscription fee. See here for more information

2. Eligibility to apply for the NZSAP Animal Science Award. This award can be used to attend national and international conferences and/or work/visit/collaborate with overseas research institutions. In 2002 young members received travel grants to The United States, Canada, the UK, France and Brazil. This award can be used to assist in career development and/or for post-graduate research.

3. Eligible to enter the Young Member Award Competition.

4. One senior student at Massey University and Lincoln University is awarded the NZSAP University Jubilee Award for academic acheivement in animal production (does not require membership).
